The Artist’s Palette Involved: Fulfilling Dreams One Brushstroke at a Time
Created out of the vibrant spirit of the Artist’s Palette Hair Salon and Gallery, The Artist’s Palette Involved is a new nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing aspiring beauty and art professionals in the community.
Salon owner Jamie Fogle calls herself “a visionary”. A quest to do more with her business came about after she learned three friends were suffering serious brain issues. She wanted to help, but didn’t know how. So, she dove into some research. It revealed that music, learning a different language, and art can help the brain in various ways. In 2018, she combined her love for art and hair, and the Artists Palette Hair Salon and Gallery was born.
The Artist’s Palette Involved represents the community and encourages collaboration through art. The nonprofit’s goal is to largely fund the scholarship through the annual hair show, as well as from the sales of artistic goods created by local artists on display in the gallery. For instance, one artist is creating a signature scent for soaps and lotions to be sold at the salon. A portion of the proceeds will go to the scholarship fund.
The organization believes in the power of creativity, education, and mentorship. It’s the reason why scholarships are being offered to students pursuing careers in cosmetology, esthetics, hair design, and the fine arts. The Artists Palette Involved cultivates talent through hands-on workshops, mentorship programs, and community events that connect aspiring creatives with seasoned professionals. Creativity is also encouraged in local neighborhoods through outreach events, art showcases, and community collaborations.
What began as a love for color, creativity, and connection has grown into a movement. The team behind the Artists Palette Hair Salon and Gallery founded the nonprofit. It serves to share knowledge, uplift talent, and support those with a drive to succeed in their craft.
Creativity is a shared journey, and one person cannot do it alone. Volunteers are at the heart of the mission of the Artists Palette Involved. Whether an artist, stylist, educator, business owner, or someone who believes in the power of self-expression, there is a place for you. The organization is seeking individuals willing to volunteer at events or serve as mentors, sharing their knowledge with the next generation.
Partnerships are vital for the Artists Palette Initiative. If you are a salon, gallery, beauty school, or local business that wants to give back, the nonprofit is looking for you. Every dollar donated helps provide scholarships, fund community classes, and sustain programs the organization offers.
